Covid-19: France has surpassed the milestone of 30 million people receiving their first vaccine dose.

Latest News

It’s official, as of this Saturday, June 12: 30,140,598 people have received at least one injection (representing 45.0% of the total population and 57.4% of the adult population), and 13,951,277 people have received two injections (representing 20.8% of the total population and 26.6% of the adult population). 15,670,139 people have a complete vaccination schedule.

While another milestone has been reached a few days ahead of the original schedule, the road is still long to achieve herd immunityโ€”which is reached when 80% of the French population is vaccinated. To date, nearly 45% of citizens have received a first injection.

What does this number really represent?

Leading the ranking, seniors over 75 years old are at the top, with 71% fully vaccinated and 83% partially vaccinated. Next are those aged 65-74 (two doses: 56% and one dose: 84%); in third place are those aged 50-64 (31% โ€“ 68%).
