The Covid-19 epidemic continues to impact hospitalizations, including critical care services, according to figures released by health authorities on Sunday.
On the contamination side, 21,172 cases were recorded on Sunday (compared to 24,427 on Saturday and 26,453 on Friday).
The number of hospitalized patients is still increasing, reaching 9,798, including 399 new admissions.
Hospitalizations in critical care services, which handle the most severe cases, are also continuing to rise, with 1,852 patients, 73 of whom were admitted in the last 24 hours.
Additionally, 44 people have succumbed to Covid, bringing the total death toll to 112,702 since the beginning of the epidemic in March 2020.
