The number of people hospitalized for an infection with the new coronavirus increased by 416 new patients this Monday, reaching a new all-time high of 33,497 hospitalizations.
France has recorded 45,054 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic, including 508 people who died from a Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours.
France is also preparing to surpass the two million detected Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic this Monday, November 16. The country now counts 1,991,233 cases, which is 9,406 more than yesterday, according to figures published by Santé Publique France.
This is a significant decrease compared to the 27,228 new cases from the previous day, but it should be analyzed with caution: on Mondays, the published data is always impacted downward by the closure of analysis laboratories over the weekend.
