The city of Nice, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, SOS Mรฉdecin, MG-NMU with the support of the ARS, CPAM, and the Medical Council have implemented a teleconsultation system in Nice and the cities of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis.
With the unprecedented health crisis related to Covid-19, doctors and emergency services need support in order to take care of more patients and that, in the best possible conditions.
Nice teleconsultation was coordinated with associations working with vulnerable and/or isolated people: providing a digital tool to enable this teleconsultation within their structures.
Similarly, with the CCAS’s shelters for the underprivileged or facilities for the elderly: day centers, night shelters, family pensions, EHPADs, Multipurpose Home Help and Care Service (SPASAD), or Home Help and Support Service (SAAD).
Nice teleconsultation is, of course, open to all networks of health or social support for the elderly and people with disabilities.
The operation:
The rule remains that the patient should try to contact their primary care physician first to avoid overloading the system. But if a patient cannot reach their family doctor, this teleconsultation platform is open from 8 AM to 10 PM.
The patient must call 04 97 13 40 80, a medical switchboard set up with health professionals, or email niceteleconsultation@nicecotedazur.org.
The patient must provide their full name, address, email, phone number, and the reason for their call.
They must then download a video conferencing app like Duo/WhatsApp/Facetime and photograph their social security card.
A doctor will then call the patient back for a teleconsultation and send prescriptions via email.
The doctors are based at the Nice city hall to conduct their teleconsultations. These consultations are covered according to the Health Insurance reimbursement terms and adhere to confidentiality and medical secrecy rules.
