The epidemiological situation is improving in the Alpes-Maritimes. Health authorities have not recorded any deaths in the department for seven days. This is the first time since September 2020.
The total number of Covid-19 patients remains at 1,976 people (including 1,528 who died in the hospital and 448 in nursing homes) since June 14. This is good news as hospital pressure is decreasing everywhere.
Regarding the incidence rate, it stands at 19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Alpes-Maritimes, whereas it was 650 at the beginning of March. The number of hospitalizations in intensive care is also decreasing, with 18 people still in these units compared to nearly 140 in March.
