The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care remains at its highest level. It exceeded the 4,000 mark on Friday, March 12, according to the latest data from Santรฉ publique France.
Specifically, with 306 new admissions in 24 hours, there are now 4,033 Covid patients in intensive care or intensive treatment. This threshold had not been reached since the end of November. However, it remains below the peaks of the first wave (7,000 in spring) and the second wave (4,900 in autumn).
In total, 24,749 patients are hospitalized. This figure is slightly down compared to yesterday, with 1,448 new admissions.
