The epidemic crisis is heavily weighing on the living conditions of low-income individuals, especially families.
Households receiving the Active Solidarity Income (RSA) or the Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS) will receive aid of โฌ150, plus an additional โฌ100 for each dependent child.
Moreover, all families benefiting from personalized housing assistance (APL) who do not receive the RSA or ASS will receive aid of โฌ100 per dependent child.
These aids will be added to the social benefits paid monthly throughout the year and will be automatically granted to those entitled to them.
In the Alpes-Maritimes department, 58,968 households with 72,447 children will benefit from this exceptional solidarity aid, which will be paid once, on May 15, automatically by the family allowance offices (CAF), the agricultural social mutuality funds (MSA), and Pรดle emploi.
This solidarity measure, necessary to support low-income households that are more severely affected by the consequences of the epidemic crisis, represents a national budget of 900 million euros.
The exceptional aid complements the main social measures taken since the beginning of the health crisis: maintenance of social minimums, emergency housing, access to food and healthcare, food assistance, partial unemployment compensation, and mobilization of volunteers.
