The number of Covid-19 patients admitted to intensive care continues to decrease in France. As of Friday, 5,106 people were in intensive care, with 269 admitted in 24 hours, compared to 5,231 the previous day. In total, hospitals had 26,331 patients suffering from Covid-19, with 1,140 admitted in 24 hours.


Additionally, 19,124 new cases of Covid-19 were detected according to the figures published this Friday, compared to 21,712 the previous day. The test positivity rate is down to 6.5%. 227 people have also died in the last 24 hours in French hospitals, bringing the total to 106,130 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in France.

Vaccination

17,492,988 people have received at least one injection (representing 26.1% of the total population) and 7,641,172 people have received two injections (representing 11.4% of the total population) since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in France. A record 617,822 people were vaccinated this Friday. Among them, 362,680 people received their first dose and 255,142 their second.
