Hospitalizations have just fallen below the 20,000 Covid patients mark, a first since the end of October.
In the past 24 hours, 468 people have been admitted to the hospital because they are infected with the coronavirus. A total of 19,765 are currently hospitalized. There were 22,950 seven days ago, indicating that the decrease is continuing.
Regarding critical care – which includes intensive care units, critical care units, and continuous monitoring units – the decrease is also continuing. In the last 24 hours, 115 new patients have been admitted. In total, 3,544 people are currently in critical care units, compared to 4,271 seven days ago.
According to the latest figures from Santé Publique France, 12,611 new cases have been detected in the last 24 hours.
As for deaths, the trend is also downward compared to April, with 89 people having lost their lives to Covid-19 in 24 hours. This brings the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 108,466.
Vaccination:
According to the latest figures from the Directorate General of Health, 22,908,758 people have received at least one injection, which corresponds to 34.2% of the total population and 43.6% of the adult population, and 9,690,645 people have received two injections. In the last 24 hours, 453,307 doses have been administered.
