As of November 7th, the Alpes-Maritimes department reports 393 ongoing hospitalizations due to COVID-19, including 63 in intensive care. After hospitalization, 1,576 patients have returned home. On the same date, 292 people have died in the hospital since the beginning of the epidemic.
According to data published on Saturday by the health agency Santรฉ publique France (SPF), 306 additional deaths have been recorded in hospitals in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 40,169.
Pressure is mechanically increasing on intensive care units, which had 4,410 patients on Saturday, compared to 3,721 at the beginning of the week. The total capacity has been increased from 5,000 to 6,400 beds, with a target of 7,500, which could still be raised to 10,500 beds.
