Covid-19: The French Hospital Federation Calls for Mandatory Vaccination for Everyone

Latest News

According to the FHF, which represents the voice of public hospitals and nursing homes, mandatory vaccination would be a measure that is more “clear” and more “effective” than the health pass.

As France faces a resurgence of the epidemic, the time for half-measures is over.

Mandatory vaccination, according to the FHF, is a “simple, clear, and effective” measure, whereas the implementation of the pass is expected to be “unusually complex,” particularly in hospitals where it will be challenging to differentiate between patients who will need to show it upon entry and those who will not.

If the health pass receives approval from the Constitutional Council, it will come into effect starting August 9. Visitors and patients will need to present this pass to enter a hospital or nursing home, except in medical emergencies.
