The health situation continues to deteriorate in France, and the virus remains just as dangerous. Therefore, it is imperative to stay vigilant in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has persisted for a year. In light of this situation, some changes have been made concerning the restrictions during the four weeks of lockdown in the Alpes-Maritimes, as well as the movement certificate, compared to other lockdowns.
Starting March 20, 2021, a curfew will be in place from 7 PM to 6 AM across the entire metropolitan territory, and strengthened measures are in effect every day of the week from 6 AM to 7 PM in 16 departments, including the department of Alpes-Maritimes.
The new measures
Travel is only authorized within the department or within a defined perimeter with a radius of 30 km around the place of residence, except for the reasons for travel indicated by an asterisk on the certificate (below).

Moreover, people residing in departments not subject to reinforced measures cannot enter the department of Alpes-Maritimes beyond a perimeter defined by a radius of 30 km around their place of residence, except for the reasons indicated by an asterisk on the certificate, and in the context of long-distance travel that only involves transit through an area subject to reinforced measures.
The possible sanctions
Failure to comply with all of these measures will result in:
โข A first fine of 135 euros, increased to 375 euros (in case of non-payment or non-contestation within the time limit indicated on the notice of violation).
โข In case of repeated offenses within 15 days: a fine of 200 euros, increased to 450 euros (in case of non-payment or non-contestation within the time limit indicated on the notice of violation).
