Covid-19: The number of patients in “critical care” continues to decrease.

Latest News

Critical care services (which include resuscitation, intensive care, and continuous monitoring) now account for 4,255 Covid-19 patients, compared to 4,271 the previous day. This marks the 13th consecutive day of declining numbers. The disease has claimed 81 lives in hospitals over the past 24 hours (compared to 112 on Saturday).

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Health describes himself as “reasonably optimistic” about the Covid-19 epidemic. “The trend seems favorable,” explained Jรฉrรดme Salomon yesterday, in Le JDD. However, the infectious disease specialist calls for utmost caution given the 16,000 new daily cases still being recorded and the fairly high incidence rates in some departments. “We must not falter in the final miles of the marathon, the moment when we might stumble,” he warns.
