As the symbolic milestone of 30 million French people vaccinated with one dose was surpassed this Saturday, the pressure is less intense in hospitals, where the number of Covid-19 patients continues to decrease.
Today’s figures confirm this trend. In the Alpes-Maritimes, the incidence rate has dropped to 22 per 100,000, well below the alert threshold of 50 per 100,000.
In critical care units, where patients suffering from severe forms of the disease are treated, the number is gradually approaching the threshold of 2,000 patients being cared for. Currently, 2,068 patients are being treated there.
Overall, 12,374 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals across the country. The number was 12,712 on Friday and 14,532 last week.
In the past 24 hours, 63 more people have lost their lives due to an infection.
