The daily report from Santé publique France provided its figures for Wednesday, January 27. In the PACA region, the rate of recorded cases is not decreasing, and the possibility of another lockdown is becoming increasingly likely.
Compared to yesterday, some statistics have significantly changed. We are currently at 1,594 conventional hospitalizations, which is two more people than this Tuesday. The positivity rate over the past seven days in the region is higher than the national average level. This level is at 8.3% in PACA, compared to 7.1% for the country. And this is exactly like the incidence rate at 370 per 100,000 inhabitants in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The national level is at 207.
The situation varies by department but continues to rise in the Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, and the Alpes-Maritimes. For comparison, the rates range from 6.8% in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to 9.1% in the Alpes-Maritimes.
