As in the entire national territory, the health situation in the Alpes-Maritimes department continues to deteriorate.
As of November 30, the incidence rate reaches 378 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and the positivity rate stands at 6.2%.
To limit the risk of the virus spreading in public spaces, the prefect
of Alpes-Maritimes has extended, until Monday, December 20 inclusive,
the obligation to wear a mask for anyone aged eleven and over in
all municipalities of the department in the following public areas:
- Outdoor markets,
- Flea markets, clearance sales, open-air sales, garage sales, and outdoor flea markets organized in public spaces or usually open to the public,
- Urban areas with pedestrian traffic,
- Areas where road traffic is limited to 20 km/h,
- Shopping malls and assimilated spaces of large and medium-sized stores, as well as their parking areas,
- Zones in town centers and shopping centers characterized by a high concentration of the public,
- During all the events and gatherings organized in public spaces or places open to the public within the Alpes-Maritimes department,
- Within a 50-meter perimeter around the entrances of nurseries, schools, colleges, and high schools, both 15 minutes before and after opening and 15 minutes before and after the closing of these institutions,
- Within a 50-meter perimeter around the access points of artistic education institutions and higher education establishments during their hours of operation,
- Within a 50-meter perimeter around the entrances of establishments receiving the public where wearing a mask is mandatory according to current regulatory provisions.
