In critical care units, which take care of people suffering from severe forms of the disease, 1,371 patients are being treated, compared to 992 a week ago. 157 patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, 53 patients have died in the hospital. More than 112,050 people have died from a Covid-19-related infection since the start of the pandemic.
Public Health France reports 28,784 new cases this Wednesday.
