Fewer hospitalized patients, including in critical care: the decline that began is confirmed on Friday. However, their number is still very high.


In the last 24 hours, 271 coronavirus patients have died in the hospital. But, for the fourth consecutive day, the number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in critical care (which includes intensive care, high dependency, and continuous monitoring) continues its slow decline.

As of Friday, these critical care services had 5,675 patients (compared to 5,804 patients on Thursday), of which 323 were admitted in the last 24 hours. Over the course of a week, the number of patients has decreased by about 300 people in these services dedicated to severely affected patients.

The number of hospitalized patients logically continued to decrease: 28,930 were hospitalized on Friday (29,487 the day before). 1,433 patients were admitted to a hospital establishment in the last 24 hours, compared to 1,711 on Thursday.

As for infections, Public Health France recorded 24,299 in the last 24 hours, an average of 25,106 per day over the week.

104,514 people have lost their lives since the beginning of the epidemic.
