As the progress of vaccination in France slows down, and the delta variant threatens the lull in the health crisis, the National Council of the Order of Doctors is ready to support the implementation of mandatory vaccination for doctors and all healthcare professionals.
The CNOM recalls, as it had already stated in a press release on March 6th, “that healthcare worker vaccination against Covid-19 is an ethical requirement and a fundamental professional duty. While it commends the vast majority of doctors who have already been vaccinated, it wishes to remind those who have not yet done so that it is urgent to reduce transmission chains and protect patients. This requirement applies to all healthcare professionals (regulated professions but also caregivers, caregivers, hospital service agents, etc.).”
“In this context, and while our country is facing a slowdown in the vaccination campaign, the Order is ready to support the potential implementation of a mandatory vaccination applying to healthcare professionals,” concludes the press release.
