For a week now, Italian authorities have been requiring more from tourists than just a negative PCR test, as the quarantine period is no longer in effect.
Since May 31st, Italian authorities want to warn those interested in traveling to their land. Upon their arrival on Italian soil, tourists will be required to comply with a number of instructions:
โข Presenting a PCR test no older than 48 hours
โข Filling out a form before entering Italian territory to allow Italian regional health authorities to locate passengers. This form is available on the ministry’s website (by clicking here), to begin the process click here..
โข Declare their entry to the health authorityโs prevention service (by clicking here)
(To access the links click directly on the above phrases)
The measures in place will remain at least until July 30th. Italy is still divided into several color-coded zones which determine the health situation. Currently, they are all at least in the yellow zone.
Restaurants, bars, and shops are currently open outdoors (indoors starting June 1st) with the observance of imposed social distancing.
Failure to comply with the constraints would require a health isolation of about ten days at the address provided in the form.
What about tourists returning to France?
France requires a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours for anyone entering the territory (except for children under 11 years old). A declaration on honor must be provided before the return journey, it is available on the Ministry of Interior’s website.
