Since 2016, nursery staff have been constantly denouncing the deterioration of their working conditions.
To address the staff shortage, the operating regulations for Early Childhood Care Facilities of the Nice municipality in 2017 now stipulate that cleaning staff “occasionally assist with the children.”
The CGT and nursery staff have protested this decision by letter, as it contradicts the Public Health Code, and have held the Mayor accountable for his responsibilities.
Determined to maintain a quality public service for the children they care for daily, staff will go on strike on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, with a gathering at Place Garibaldi at 10:00 am.
