Cuisine Nissarde Label: Which new restaurants will be labeled?

Latest News

Tomorrow, at the end of the day, the first chefs and establishment owners will receive the brand-new “Cuisine Nissarde Label” at the Nice Tourism and Convention Office, which they will then proudly display at their storefronts. This marks an important first step for the Nice label and is a true recognition for these restaurants.

After a few studious months dedicated to creating the reference recipes, defining the selection criteria, and especially visiting the 19 establishments that were the first to apply (ten more are already waiting for the second phase of labeling), the Technical Committee of the Cuisine Nissarde Label has delivered its final verdict. “While it was fairly easy to say ‘yes’ to labeling, it was sometimes much more complicated to say ‘no’, or at least not on this first phase and after our initial visit, since no establishment received a definitive ‘no’.” confided one of the committee members.

There were therefore about twenty establishments at the starting line, all visited and inspected by at least three members of the technical committee, including one member from the Nice Tourism Office. The technical committee’s meeting, which was held last week, made its selection which will be unveiled this Monday at OTC Nice, in the presence of the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, accompanied by his tourism deputy, Rudy Salles, and the Tourism Office Director, Denis Zanon, who will present the coveted label to the restaurants.

A few days before the start of the Carnival festivities, the King of Gastronomy, this is a first initiative that should delight local food lovers as well as tourists, who certainly won’t find green beans and potatoes in the restaurants marked with the “Cuisine Nissarde Label.”

And that’s that!
