The scientific council of the city of Nice met yesterday morning to adopt the implementation of new measures to combat the spread of COVID-19. Here are the forecasts that emerged.
– An extension of rapid test screenings (use of antigen tests launched last week: see article here).
– Implementation of actions to strengthen barrier measures directed at the population: information campaigns, providing masks and hand sanitizer.
– A weekly reassessment of the epidemic’s progression which might lead to modifying proposals, including the continuation or not of the curfew, based on objective data.
Furthermore, the city of Nice has decided to take new measures for vulnerable people following the implementation of the curfew. For people without stable housing, the Nice Communal Center for Social Action (CCAS), in partnership with the Saint Exupรฉry youth hostel, will offer 80 dignified and quality accommodation places. An evening meal as well as breakfast will be provided to them every day of the week during the curfew with care from 9 AM to 5 PM.
