The final short stage of 110 km with six challenges, designed around Nice, lived up to its promises this Sunday. The Spaniard Ion Izaguirre, the Astana rider, won it ahead of the Belgian Oliver Naesen (AG2R La Mondiale) and the German Wilco Kelderman (Team Sunweb).
Romain Bardet, the first Frenchman, finishes 5th at 1’45” behind Bernal, and Rudy Molard from Antibes places 7th at 3’02”, marking his first Top 10 in a one-week World Tour race.
