Cynthia Vescan is the only person from Nice to have decisively won the title of 2013 French Champion in Gries near Strasbourg, achieving overwhelming victories against all her opponents.

Cynthia Vescan thus finished first in the final rankings with 4 victories in as many matches, ahead of Laura Bourdassol (3 victories) and Lucie Magnon (2 victories).

Her first win was against Laura Bourdassol (Vertaizon) with an undeniable score of 4-0, followed by a second victory over Lucie Magnon (Besançon) with a 3-0. In round 4, it was Laetitia Maia Jose’s (Moosch) turn to fall against the Nice athlete (4-0) and similarly for the Parisian Déborah Kouzmin (4-0).

Her president, Mr. Gasparro, said: “It is a great pride for the club and the entire city of Nice, which confirms our intensive work with Cynthia since the beginning of the 2012/2013 season with her coach Buliga Grégorii. We hope this title is the first of a beautiful series this year, with the next competitions being the European Championships in March, the Francophonie Games, and the World Championships in September.”
