This dance show is the result of a year of reflection on themes, choreographies, and music. It will be performed at the Théâtre National de Nice on Sunday, June 30th.
To conclude the end of the year, the students will perform on stage at the TNN. Two shows: children will dance to the fantastic world of Oz at 3 PM, while the older students will follow in the footsteps of Tintin at 7 PM.
Following in the Footsteps of Tintin
Julia Tumorticchi has a keen ear; she is a dance teacher at Danse Passion school and holds a master’s degree in musicology. Thus, she decides on the themes of the shows: “The theme must be broad enough! We need as much music as choreography, which means 29 for Tintin.”
She has been contemplating the shows for a year. After selecting the themes, appropriate “choreographies that fit the level” must be chosen; some of the Tintin dancers will have up to five routines to perform. Although the dancers are stressed, they are eager to beautifully conclude this year of intense learning, with three training sessions per week. “We’ve trained all year, now we’re focusing on the details of the costumes,” explains Salomé.
The program includes expressive costumes, well-prepared lighting effects, classical, neo-classical, and jazz dance. All this, in front of a Tintin video projection, to immerse you into this mystical universe created by Hergé. A great way to enjoy this 29th show by Danse Passion.
