As part of its “Seniors in Action” program, the Department launched “Dance with the Seniors” in 2014, a major ballroom dance competition open to amateurs over 55 from the Alpes-Maritimes.
The grand finale took place on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Palais Acropolis in Nice, featuring the grand orchestra of Thierry Noll and presided over by Jeane Manson.
The 3rd edition of this competition last year brought together more than half a thousand candidates and delivered an exceptional finale at a packed Palais Acropolis.
The 4th edition of this competition was launched in April 2017, and once again this year, it is open to ladies in individual dance (Madison and Cha Cha Cha).
More than 600 candidates competed in the selections organized in Nice, Cannes, Menton, Carros, Guillaumes, and Auribeau-sur-Siagne, and we now know the 13 couples and 8 individual finalist ladies*.
