David Duchamp, visual artist, presented his lecture “The Mad Artists” to us this Saturday, November 5th. A deep dive into the minds of those artists who have made their mark on Art History.
David Duchamp is passionate about Art, and his aim is to share this fascination that characterizes him. In this lecture, we were able to discover or rediscover the work and thoughts of many artists. Leonardo da Vinci, Ferdinand Cheval, Van Gogh, Yoko Ono, Jean Mas, and even Marcel Duchamp, that is the journey David Duchamp took us on with his little touch of madness.
With the support of numerous photographic and video documents, this lecture taught us much more about the artistic world, its deviations, and its extravagant ideas imagined by astounding artists. David Duchamp poses the question of whether an artist might be mad, provocative, a genius, or a mix of all these things. What is certain is that we leave feeling thoughtful, with a broader view of this world that we ultimately know so little about.
