His film was scheduled to be shown on Friday, May 20th at 7:45 PM, but a few hours before walking up the steps, actor Ahmed Benaïssa, known notably for his success with the film Nedjma, suffered a malaise that led to his death at the age of 78. Many personalities paid tribute to him and celebrated his career, among them the writer Kamel Daoud, as well as Karim Leklou who acted alongside him, and the Algerian Minister of Culture and Arts Soraya Mouloudji.
This actor will forever remain in the hearts of many cinema enthusiasts.
