Aged 77, the former deputy mayor of Nice and also the member of parliament for the second constituency, Muriel Marland-Militello is no longer with us. Christian Estrosi announced it early this morning.
The political world is in mourning! Born in Nice, the UMP politician was notably a member of parliament for the second constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes department from 2002 to 2012. Madame Muriel Marland-Militello was also elected on Christian Estrosi’s list in the 2008 municipal elections in Nice, where she served as deputy mayor in charge of the city’s cultural policy. This woman left a significant mark on the local public life of Nice with her determination and ambition.

Many political figures in the region paid tribute to her throughout the day. Many enumerate her love and commitment to culture and animals. Deputy Marine Bernier recalls a “colorful” personality nicknamed “MMM” who will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on Nice’s history. Among her main battles was her fight against bullfighting.
