The French rock scene and chanson française are in mourning, and many fans are grieving today the passing of the Nice-born Dick Rivers, whose real name was Hervé Forneri, on his 74th birthday.
He was one of the first to bring rock-n-roll to France and popularize it alongside his friends Johnny Hallyday and Eddy Mitchell.
