Organized by the Young Economic Chamber of Nice Côte d’Azur on Thursday, April 28, 2011, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the BEAU RIVAGE Hotel in Nice, 24 Rue Saint-François de Paule 06300 Nice
According to the memories of the people of Nice, one must go back to 1985 to find waves of this magnitude, or even to 1959 to have faced such a violent storm. Indeed, on May 4th, huge waves, sometimes as high as 6 meters, devastated all installations on the beaches along our coast from the airport to the Port of Nice.
This Cocktail Debate will allow for the raising and answering of several questions:
- One year later, where do the beach operators stand, just a few days before the summer season?
- Was the support they received sufficient?
- Have any works or developments been carried out to prevent the phenomenon?
The goal will be to discuss the topic through various testimonies.
Participants in the debate, moderated by the Press Club, will include:
- René Colomban, President of the Nice Beach Operators’ Union,
- the Port Management of the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
- insurers,
- well-informed locals…
