Debate with the scientists from the schooner TARA on climate warming

Latest News

The Marine World Discovery Center is organizing a meeting on Friday, April 20 at 8:00 PM at Phoenix Park with the TARA Oceans crew and the scientists who participated in this fabulous expedition to learn more about climate change.

TARA is a schooner that previously belonged to J-Louis Etienne, then Peter Blake, and finally Etienne Bourgeois. It has been used for exploration and environmental defense. Since 2009, as part of the TARA Oceans expedition, TARA has been navigating the seas and oceans for three years to study the role of plankton and its impact on climate change. The vessel returned on March 31.

Mr. Stemmann (Researcher and Lecturer at the Oceanographic Observatory of Villefranche-sur-Mer) and Mr. Sardet (Biologist and Head of the BioMar team at the Developmental Biology Laboratory in Villefranche-sur-Mer), members of the scientific crew, will present their research work conducted aboard TARA, accompanied by video screenings.
