On this occasion, the Héliotrope association, organizer of the “Un festival c’est trop court” short film festival in Nice, is joining forces with the Rialto Cinema to resonate with the Short Film Festival in Nice. On December 21, the people of Nice will have the opportunity to enjoy a free screening at the Rialto Cinema, featuring a selection of French short films aimed at showcasing the short film format from all angles.
This winter solstice day is the perfect opportunity to collectively share the richness of short films.
A creative, festive day full of diversity!
This festival aims, much like the music festival, to demonstrate the richness of short films in all their forms, everywhere and on all screens, from cinema theaters to digital tablets, from television to the internet, not forgetting “alternative venues.”
A festival that reflects the vitality of short films in France, with its daring productions, numerous festivals throughout the year across the country, its professional organizations, and associative structures, each more dynamic than the last.
A celebration that honors short films so they can reach a broader audience and engage with them on this upcoming December 21.
Fiction, documentary, and animation are brought together in a program of 7 films, including “L’Accordeur” featuring Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet and Grégory Gadebois of the Comédie Française, which received the Audience Award at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival in 2011; and “Bonne nuit,” whose director Valéry Rosier won the Kodak Discovery Prize at the Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival 2011, as well as the Students’ Prize at the 11th Nice short film festival.
