Good news: Unemployment is decreasing in the Alpes-Maritimes: -0.4% in July compared to the previous month (but +4.6% compared to the same month in 2014).
At the national level, the number of job seekers registered with Pรดle Emploi in July in category A (meaning no employment activity during the month) is almost stable compared to June: the recorded decrease is -0.1%, which is 1,900 fewer people compared to June.
The number of job seekers registered with Pรดle Emploi in category A stands at 321,411 in the PACA region at the end of July 2015. This number is down by -0.3% compared to the end of June 2015 (-982). Over a year, it has increased by +3.7%.
“After a marked slowdown in new registrations at the beginning of 2015, we have been seeing a stabilization in the number of job seekers for the past two months,” commented the government.
