Deconfinement: the Alpes-Maritimes in orange

Latest News

Health Minister Olivier Vรฉran presented the map revealing the well-known green departments, where the coronavirus is less prevalent, and the red ones, where the epidemic is most widespread.

This map, which will then be presented every evening, will make it possible to establish a broader deconfinement in the green departments and more constraints in the red departments.

The Alpes-Maritimes department is in orange, which means that by May 7, the deadline, it must comply with all three parameters if it wants to appear on the good list.

Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, President of the Departmental Council, commented on the ministerial information: “This color means that efforts still need to be made. We will continue our commitments in the fight against COVID-19. To reach green, let’s remain vigilant and united.”

Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Metropolis, also aims to be proactive: “While partial deconfinement is announced from May 11, we must redouble our efforts in the crucial days leading up and demonstrate together that we will continue to do everything possible to reduce the risks of spreading COVID-19.”
