Denis Masseglia was re-elected Thursday morning for another four years as president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF).

President since 2009 and aged 69, he won with 556 votes compared to Isabelle Lamourโ€™s 385 and David Douilletโ€™s 54, and he is therefore set to undertake his third and final term.

Elected against strong opposition with only 55.8% of the votes, Denis Masseglia will indeed be the host for the IOC evaluation commission of Paris’s bid for the 2024 Olympics, which will be in the French capital starting Saturday for a few days of inspection.

An honor and a satisfaction for him, as he was the initiator of the bid, even though, being his final term, he will not be the incumbent president if Paris manages to win against Los Angeles.
