Departmental and regional elections: The City of Nice is setting up 253 polling stations distributed across 124 sites.

For the first time in France, a double election is being organized entirely on June 20 and 27, 2021. For the city of Nice, this means 253 polling stations for each election, totaling 506 polling stations spread across 124 sites for this double election.

An extensive inspection of the sites was carried out to simplify the voter’s journey, comply with accessibility standards, and adhere to the State’s health guidelines. Rooms that were too cramped had to be eliminated to provide the best welcome for voters while respecting health guidelines and safety measures. When a room was removed, in order to maintain as many voting sites as possible, a tent was set up in some schoolyards when feasible. The objective being to move voters from their voting site as little as possible.

Thus, 442 polling stations will be shared for the two elections. Voters will be able to vote for both the departmental and regional elections in the same room. For the other 64 polling stations, voters will need to vote in two different rooms, but in close proximity.

Thirteen polling stations are changing locations. Nine sites are affected by these changes. The new voting sites are located at a maximum distance of 600 meters from the old site.
