There are 20 universities in France offering the MIAGE program (Bachelor’s + Master’s) that trains executives with a dual skill set in computer science and management, aimed at developing business leaders who are experts in the engineering and management of information systems.
Every year, since the program’s inception, the entire MIAGE network meets in a different city for the National MIAGE Days. This annual event, which takes place over three days, gathers more than 400 students. These days are centered around a specific theme, this year being “well-being in the workplace,” and offer conferences, exhibitions, and meetings with professionals…
This year, the MIAGE event is taking place in Nice.
As part of the SMART Deal, the digital transition plan that was launched, the Department decided to take advantage of the National MIAGE Days to organize a challenge.
The students, organized in small groups, had about a month to devise a digital solution to sustainable development issues. They presented a project to a jury that, through digital technology, data exploitation, and connected objects, enables the preservation of biodiversity, promotes the circular economy and local networks, supports sustainable/urban agriculture, and encourages eco-friendly practices. 25 teams from all over France participated.
With this focus on sustainable development, this SMART Deal challenge aligns with the Department’s other major ambition: the GREEN Deal, which is the ecological transition.
