10% less property tax on built properties for 2020. It’s a bold move. Returning to the azure economy is the constant long-term commitment of the departmental council.

In 2019, the property tax rate was reduced by 5%, amounting to nearly 15 million euros returned to the department’s economy; this year, it would be nearly 30 million euros, totaling 45 million euros cumulatively!

With a property tax rate of 10.62%, the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council is leading among the French Departments (with more than 1 million inhabitants) with the lowest rate, just behind Hauts-de-Seine.

Another key aspect of this main budget is the debt reduction, control of operating expenses, and the dynamism of investment expenses. Voted and accepted, this budget is deemed “exceptional” by President Charles Ange Ginesy.

The Eco-CADAM was also adopted. This new project aims to redevelop the CADAM. As part of the Smart Deal, a smart building is expected to emerge to relocate the SDIS headquarters. The goal is to redo, reconfigure, the sometimes outdated and poorly insulated buildings, bringing all operational centers closer in security management.
