On October 3, 2015, the Alpes-Maritimes were affected by a violent Cévenol rain episode. From this tragic event arose the intention of public authorities to train and raise awareness among the population about major risks.
The departmental major risk awareness day on October 3, 2017, will once again be an opportunity to train, inform, and raise awareness among the population about the various risks that could affect the Alpes-Maritimes.
For this edition, earthquake risk prevention will be highlighted. Numerous events, detailed in the program, will enliven the department throughout the day, which will kick off, in the presence of authorities, at 10 a.m. on the Promenade du Paillon.
