Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Polytech’Nice Sophia, Lucioles site, 1645, route des Lucioles, 06410 Biot Sophia Antipolis. (10 km from Antibes and Cannes, 30 km from Nice)
For nine years, the DeViNT day has been dedicated to presenting information and communication technologies to benefit the visually impaired public. This event is primarily a special meeting place bringing together the visually impaired public, associations, scientists, and institutions. The goal is to inform the visually impaired public about advancements in new technologies and to allow them to express their real needs.
For several years, engineering students from Polytech Nice Sophia have been meeting with students from the Clรฉment ADER institute and the Chรขteau school in Nice to develop software accessible to visually impaired students. The results of these projects are then presented and tested by all participants during the DeViNT day.
The ninth “Visually Impaired and New Technologies” day (DeViNT 2011) will be organized by Polytech Nice Sophia, the CNRS, the APEDV, the INRIA, and the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
The DeViNT 2011 day will particularly focus on Accessibility to Sciences.
