Nice is preparing to celebrate theatrical art once again with the tenth edition of the “Autumn Scenes” festival, which will be held from October 2 to 19, 2024. The jury, responsible for evaluating the creations, was revealed today. Here are the details.

The “Autumn Scenes”, now an unmissable cultural event, highlights the talents of private and public stages in Nice and its Metropolis. The program includes theater performances, as well as performances mixing objects, dance, music, lectures, exhibitions, and projections. Several shows in competition

This year, no fewer than 14 shows will be presented before a prestigious jury, composed of 10 influential personalities from the world of theater and culture, as well as representatives of associations and new audiences. Their mission will be to carefully evaluate each creation according to different criteria, and finally to reward four of them at an award ceremony.

Presented today by Patrick Mottard, Deputy Mayor Delegate for Cinema and the Victorine project, the selection was not an easy task, given the richness and diversity of theater professionals in the region. Here are the members of the 2024 jury of “Autumn Scenes“.

Emmanuelle Lorre

Emmanuelle Lorre is an emblematic figure of theater, brilliantly combining the roles of actress, author, director, and theater manager. She made a name for herself with her remarkable performances, notably in “Nuit d’ivresse“. Her work as an author, with her play on Moliรจre, has been widely praised. Particularly distinguishing Emmanuelle is her role as director of the Libรฉ Theater: she built and developed a theater in her neighborhood (Libรฉration, ed.), even in the midst of the pandemic, with a quality program. Her efforts to transform a small space into a true cultural venue demonstrate her audacity and creativity. Her appointment as jury president confirms her role as an influential leader and her ability to bring an innovative vision to the theatrical world.

Lucille Delbecque

Lucille Delbecque is a versatile artistic figure. As an actress, author, puppeteer, and director, she excels in shadow and object theater, with a penchant for origami creations. Currently in Agen organizing the “Submersive Festival”, an emerging and inclusive street art festival, she made an impression with her debut play “Ugly, Ugly Monster”, winner of the special prize at the Festival of Creation 2023. Her presence in the Autumn Scenes festival jury promises to be as valuable as it is inspiring.

Stephane Eichenholc

The well-known Stรฉphane Eichenholc from the Nice scene is a complete artist. Founder and director of the Arkadia company since the late 1990s, he has made his mark with his versatility and creativity. As a director, actor, author, and trainer, he has conveyed his love of theater through numerous institutions, teaching dramatic arts in schools and high schools. His career also led him to work in radio, lending his voice to various projects and appearing in several films. Lucas Gibello

Lucas Gibello is a young theater talent characterized by his creativity and dynamism. A graduate of the Conservatory of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, he won the 2023 audience award for his work on “The Lesson”. Founder and director of the Emergence company, he is known for his imaginative and innovative creations. Despite his youth, Lucas has already made his mark on the theatrical scene and brings a fresh and relevant perspective to the jury. His enthusiasm and passion for theater make him a valuable and appreciated member of the jury.

รˆve Stiรฉvenard

รˆve Stiรฉvenard is a prominent actress in the Nice scene, praised for her talent and dynamism. In 2023, she won the Best Actor Award for her remarkable role in “Lost in Stockholm” at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Founder and director of the Thirteen Dreams Company, she stands out for her creativity and artistic leadership. After training at the Cours Florent, รˆve enriched her career with roles in series in Australia. Her international exposure further strengthens the Autumn Scenes festival jury.

Jean-Pierre Triffaux

Jean-Pierre Triffaux wears many hats: Doctor of Letters, and professor in performing arts and theater studies, Specialist in the epistemology of live art... An influential intellectual figure in the theater field, he possesses an in-depth expertise in theory, theatrical practice, and actor’s art. Known for his innovative contributions, he combines academic rigor with dynamic creativity, bringing a forward-thinking vision and contagious energy to his lectures and performances. His presence enriches the festival with a revolutionary approach, promising to bring a bold perspective to the evaluation of theatrical creations.

Delphine Bollaro

Delphine Bollaro is an essential figure of the Autumn Scenes festival. Working at the CCAS, she specializes in engaging new audiences with her social sensitivity. She is also a talented organizer, hosting a spectacular annual fashion show at the opera with associations and disadvantaged individuals, using recycled materials to create dazzling shows. Her expertise as a master of ceremony and her professional approach enrich the festival, providing a unique dimension and a deep commitment to audience diversity.

Firmin Gache

Firmin Gache is the youthful spice student of the jury. A STAPS student and student educator, Firmin is the student representative for this edition of the Autumn Scenes festival. Passionate about theater, he actively works to forge connections with marginalized audiences, such as people with disabilities and children in foster care with limited access to culture and sports. The festival is thrilled to have him among them for this edition.

Sponsor of the “Autumn Scenes”, Ezรฉquiel Garcia-Romeu is a puppeteer, scenographer, and director of Argentine origin, residing in Nice.
