Mickey and his entire crew have finally landed in Nice! And this, to the great delight of the little ones but also for the adults who have kept their childlike spirit! Disney on Ice performed yesterday for its first show at the Palais Nikaia. Two hours of spectacle on an ice rink specially created for the occasion.

For this 29th edition, Disney on Ice highlighted four of its greatest works. If the boys obviously found their share with the cars from Cars and the animated toys from Toy Story, the girls enjoyed the magical world of princesses embodied by Tinker Bell and the famous mermaid Ariel. And instead of on television or in comics, it was on ice and with skates on their feet that all these characters revisited iconic scenes from each animated film. High-quality music and set designs filled the eyes of the little ones with stars. “Look, Mom, it’s Buzz Lightyear! The real Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story! He really exists!” exclaimed a child amazed by the show.
A show for 7 to 77-year-olds!
There are the toys from Toy Story, but that’s not all… There’s also when handsome Ken tries to woo the pretty Barbie doll; the entire room is under the spell of this duo as they perform acrobatic routines, worthy of the best skaters. Then comes the magical world of princesses, and it quickly becomes clear that the troupe of artists has chosen technical prowess to surprise: the queen of the forest arrives through the air above the enchanted forest, and the children love it… “When Tinker Bell arrived and everyone fell, it was funny,” recounts Chloé, a little 5-year-old girl who dressed up for the occasion. All-American and all professional skaters, these artists make it their daily challenge, throughout France, to amaze children during almost two hours of show. In the end, even parents are happy and pleasantly surprised by the performance and the quality of the show. “It was amazing,” says Jeanne, mother of little Hugo, “the costumes are magnificent, the children know the songs by heart, it reminds us of our own childhood too, and all the moms become little girls again for one evening (laughs).” Not forgetting the dads, of course…
