Dive into the Big Apple with *Wonderful Town* by Leonard Bernstein at the Opéra de Nice.

György Rath, musical director of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, was a student of Leonard Bernstein.

This year, as we commemorate the centenary of this composer, he did not miss the opportunity to honor him by scheduling Wonderful Town.

After West Side Story, it is Bernstein’s most famous musical. The story of these two sisters setting out to conquer New York, one becoming a dancer and the other a writer, along with the lively music with jazz accents, will appeal to many.

It is György G. Ráth himself who will conduct the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, which will be accompanied by the Choir of the Nice Opera directed by Giulio Magnanini.

The cast will feature Veronica Granatiero, who played the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro last year on the Nice stage, as Eileen Sherwood, while the character of Ruth Sherwood will be portrayed by Kamelia Kader.

This Friday, December 7 at 8 PM, Saturday the 8th at 4 PM, and Sunday the 9th at 3 PM.
