In early September, FIFA invalidated the transfer of Sporting CP’s forward, Yannick Djalo, by a matter of minutes. OGC Nice is preparing to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to achieve a favorable outcome. After the refusal from the international body, this is the Gym’s last resort.
For just a few minutes, the transfer of Sporting CP’s forward, Yannick Djalo, was not approved by FIFA.
This decision displeased Nice officials, who decided to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), “within 48 hours,” according to the words of Gym’s general manager, Julien Fournier, reported by lequipe.fr.
The CAS decision, the last possible appeal for OGC Nice, is expected next week. If favorable, Yannick Djalo could be eligible for the match against Girondins de Bordeaux on October 15th.
