Does the Hersant Media Group still have a future?

Latest News

The largest social plan in two years: 1650 employees laid off. This is the achievement just realized by Philippe Hersant, the CEO and shareholder of the Hersant Media Group (GHM), following the liquidation in Lyon of Comareg, his classified ads press subsidiary, which notably publishes the free paper Paru-Vendu. What will be the consequences for the local daily Nice-Matin and its editions Var-Matin and Corse Matin?

avendre-2.jpg A piece of news you are unlikely to hear much about, neither in Marseille (La Provence) nor in Nice (Nice-Matin), the newspapers whose shareholder is also GHM, even though several dozen Paru-Vendu employees based in Marseille are also affected.

And an announcement made just a few days ahead of the project to merge La Provence and Nice Matin with the Belgian group Rossel, the publisher in France of La Voix du Nord.

A Greek-style scenario for GHM. And one that could impact this future “Belgian” deal.
