The official inauguration of the new premises of the Mission Locale Communautaire Objectif Jeunes, in the presence of local institutional and political authorities, was also an opportunity to assess the employment situation and the integration of young people from Nice.
The Nice Centre branch of the Mission Locale Communautaire Objectif Jeunes Nice Côte d’Azur left its old offices at 21, Promenade du Paillon last December. It now benefits from spacious and functional premises of 552 m2 consisting of offices and meeting rooms. Better conditions to fulfill its mission for young people: reception, information, guidance, and support towards employment.
The president of the association, Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, expressed her pride in the work accomplished and emphasized how the commitment of the teams in a renewed working environment could lead to even better results.
“The situation of young job seekers is delicate, but we must not be discouraged; rather, we should react by implementing all the means at our disposal. It takes a lot of listening and dynamism to achieve convincing results. This is our mission, and we spare no effort for its success.”
And knowing the energy and determination that Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, a woman of action and convictions, puts into her commitments… One can already bet on good results!

8,462 young people followed, including 3,436 new young people registered in 2011.
71% of young people welcomed are at or below the CAP-BEP level.
32% of these young people live in a neighborhood classified as ZUS.
75,702 service actions in the fields of employment access, citizenship, training, housing, leisure, sport, culture, professional project, and health, of which 63,431 service actions concern employment, training, and guidance (84%).
More than 3,000 work contracts were concluded in 2011, benefiting 2,262 young people.
The Mission Locale Communautaire Objectif Jeunes Nice Côte d’Azur offers a variety of services aimed at young people who have left the school system and are seeking professional integration. It supports them in resolving all the difficulties inherent to their social or professional integration and helps them develop a project that will allow them to access employment, autonomy, and responsibility.
