Donald Trump launches his own social network!

Latest News

Having been dissatisfied with being banned from social media, the former American president is launching his own platform, “Truth Social.”

“You’re fired,” the mythical phrase by Donald Trump, backfired on him. Last January 6th, the billionaire bid farewell to social media.

After four years of decadence, Twitter launched an offensive and banned @realdonaldtrump from its platform. Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and Google joined this initiative following his call for insurrection on Twitter and the assault by his supporters on the Capitol on January 6th.

Never better served than by oneself

Whether popular or not for his antics on the Twittersphere, Donald Trump has forged part of his myth thanks to his media omnipresence, with each of his statements going viral.

This deprivation leaves a particularly bitter taste for someone who has always claimed to have built himself thanks to social media.

So, in the absence of being able to use existing platforms, he created his own platform “Truth Social,” a way to reconnect with his supporters. The functioning and interface of the network are similar to Twitter.

This should be available on an internet browser or via the app. The lucky ones will be able to use the network starting in November, while others will have to wait until early next year.

To recall, his Twitter profile had no less than 88 million followers. In recent years, he has often been criticized for spreading false information and using the platform as a means of intimidation.

Throughout his mandate, he has given his opponents various outrageous nicknames, like Nancy Pelosi whom he calls “Crazy Nancy” or Elizabeth Warren whom he dubs “Pocahontas” due to her Native American origins.
