The project for the redevelopment and beautification of the heart of Nice (PNRQAD) has entered its concrete phase with the pedestrian development works of rue de Suisse, next to Notre-Dame.
The objective of the PNRQAD is to eliminate substandard housing, combat energy insecurity, return vacant housing to the market, restructure shops and nearby public spaces, develop the offering of equipment and services, and redevelop public spaces.
This project represents more than 73 million euros to be invested in the beautification and improvement of the living environment of the city center.
The pedestrianization of rue Suisse is the first act, its cost is 672 thousand euros. The aim was to integrate it into the dynamics of avenue Jean Médecin.
For Christian Estrosi: “Beyond the beautification of rue de Suisse, the quality of the development will allow the public space to change its usage, enabling citizens and especially neighborhood residents to reclaim the city center.”
